Airmec Essential Services, an independent specialist in ventilation system and water hygiene services, has kick started 2022. Two new recruits are boosting its ventilation, fire safety and air quality testing services, and expanding its Legionella Risk Assessment and water hygiene monitoring services.
The move comes after a busy two years during which the firm provided essential services helping public sector organisations and businesses throughout the UK stay safe during all phases of the pandemic.
Adrian Bell, who has extensive experience in air quality services, joins Airmec as a new sales consultant for the southwest. He will work closely with Diana Beavon who, in the newly created role of marketing executive, brings her understanding of many of the business sectors that comprise the Airmec client base.
“The importance of indoor air quality has never been higher on people’s agendas,” notes Airmec managing director Andrew Steel. “Businesses want to know that their mechanical ventilation is both safe and energy-efficient, so that staff and visitors can use the buildings with confidence.
“They also need to have absolute confidence that the steps they are taking make them fully compliant with the Health & Safety regulations governing ventilation, fire safety and water hygiene. Compliance is a continuous process which calls for a knowledgeable and competent partner you can trust.”
Airmec’s air hygiene work ensures a building’s ventilation system is properly maintained and working to specification by regularly undertaking inspection and cleaning of the ductwork and air handling units. The firm is also qualified to undertake mandatory testing of fire dampers and where necessary undertake remedial work to replace them. Alongside this, it offers comprehensive water hygiene and water safety management services to ensure water is kept clean and free from possible contamination.
With the appointment of Adrian Bell businesses in the southwest will be able to choose an independent provider able to provide specialist ventilation hygiene, fire compliance and water safety management services. Adrian Bell said: “I’ve worked in air quality since 2008, most recently with filter manufacturer Camfil and I’ve developed a thorough knowledge of the science of ventilation, extraction and filtration.
“Moving into independent consultancy and partnering with a sound, well-resourced firm like Airmec enables me to bring that knowledge to bear on all aspects of air quality. I’m looking forward to introducing Airmec’s essential services to a range of businesses across the southwest.”
Diana whilst new to the sector, has worked with a variety of businesses developing business to business marketing. “This is a great opportunity to build on Airmec’s reputation for providing air and water compliance services throughout the UK and to increase our market share.”
