The Airmec promise is to undertake works to the highest standards and with minimum disruption, so it’s always good to receive feedback about how well our service technicians achieve that.
The latest recipient of high praise is Angela West, after she had completed one of her very first jobs with Airmec on completion of her training. It involved cleaning and treating corrosion in air handling units and associated ductwork at HMP Humber.
She worked in the bakery, the plant room and across all three landings of G Wing, part of the 1069-capacity Category C men’s prison in Brough, near Hull. Alex Day, FM Supervisor for the Amey Prisons Total facilities Management (TFM) team on site got in touch with us to say: “Angela was incredibly helpful during the last service. Please thank her from us.”
Angela is part of the Airmec Essential Services’ nationwide team of technicians who have the highest security clearances, ensuring that access to secure sites like prisons and defence establishments is seamless and does not interfere with the day to day running of premises.
At HMP Humber, one of many prisons where Airmec undertakes specialist ventilation hygiene work, we are sub-contracted by Amey , which delivers facilities and estate management services, including planned and reactive maintenance, cleaning and project management into 59 prisons on behalf of the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS).
