Pools and spas: safety & efficiency

Child in swimming pool

A strong chemical smell in a pool could mean that the operators are paying far too much for chemicals when proper planning of management, inspection and cleaning could be far more cost effective.

Pool closures can be disastrous for revenues and reputation – word soon gets out if a centre has had to close the pool or spa because of contamination. Simple compliance with HSE’s guidance: “HSG282: Control of legionella and other infectious agents in spa-pool systems” should all but eliminate the risk. It covers ongoing management, inspection and cleaning issues.

Are you sure your facilities are efficient, safe and compliant with HSG 282?

  • When did you last review your procedures?
  • How good is your record keeping?
  • How long ago did you undertake a risk assessment?
  • Are you confident that you understand all the implications of the HSE guidance?

We recommend reviewing your risks with a new assessment every two years. Armed with that up to date information we can help you to guarantee the safe and uninterrupted operation of facilities that are critical to your business.

Get in touch and we’ll get you back on track.
