Trainee Surveyor – Air

You will play a key role within our team of surveyors providing surveys and risk assessments across our national customer base, highlighting compliance issues and raising reports in line with industry guideline and standards.
You will need to be self-motivated, ideally with experience of working on high security sites/healthcare and commercial sites delivering compliance, hard and soft facility management services with a strong sense of compliance and health and safety.
Enhanced DBS and high-level security clearance will be required for this role.
Ideal location: Reading – M25 and North M25
Core Tasks & Responsibilities include:
Ventilation – Primary
• Ventilation system air hygiene risk assessments and surveys
• LEV Testing and Inspection
• Inspection and testing of ventilation system fire dampers
• Oversee and manage work allocation including data collection and report writing
Secondary:
• Grease readings in kitchen extracts and grease filter cleans.
• Ductwork cleaning and disinfections
• Indoor Air Quality Testing
• Fire Damper Testing
• Adhoc Technician Duties
Experience , Skills & Qualifications – Ideally you will have:
• Experience in facilities management
• HVAC and Ventilation System installation/maintenance background
• Experience of work of a similar nature in the past i.e. HVAC system installation, maintenance
• P600 qualified but not essential as training will be given.
• P601 qualified but not essential as training will be given on completion of probation.
• Ability to handle frequent changes in direction with the ability to multi-task
• Strong people and communications skills
• Problem solving ability
• Organised, with attention to detail
• Practical approach and understanding of Health and Safety
• Computer and IT System Literate
• Full, clean driving licence
• Health and Safety experience
• Ability to obtain Enhanced Security Clearances
• Willing to work occasional unsocial hours and be flexible to travel or stay away.
